Currently, sdlmess package in AUR is terribly outdated and I want to take it. I've sent robb_force, the maintainer, request more than day ago, but got no reply. It seems he is inactive for almost a year, so I'm requesting orphanage here. Among sdlmess I'd also like to take wahcade. Thanks in advance.

sdlmess and wahcade have been disowned. You can now adopt them. :)
Hello Anton!
1. You can use $srcdir instead of $startdir/src, and $pkgdir, instead of $startdir/pkg.
2. And maybe you can write a for;do;done cycle instead of install -d lines, but it's just a cosmetic change, nice pkgbuild/package :)

Okay, sdlmess PKGBUILD now have $srcdir and $pkgdir, thanks for your suggestion! I'll update wahcade later and also certainly will consider your advice.
Okay. You can use '|| return 1' at the end of the installation lines, or line in case of for cycle.
No problem, feel free to ask us.
