Actually, all prerequisite work is already done - unstable PKGBUILD was uploaded as chromium-libpdf-dev, stable version uploaded as chromium-libpdf, so the only remaining thing left is migrate current users of chromium-libpdf-stable to chromium-libpdf. Perhaps it would be better way to merge chromium-libpdf into chromium-libpdf- dev and then merge chromium-libpdf-stable into chromium-libpdf.
