[aur-general] AUR cleanup
So, on the subject of cleanup, I've come across a list of 530 packages on sigurd that aren't accessible from the web interface. Judging from some of the names, I'd wager that these are packages which were deleted but something went wrong, etc etc. In total, it's about 20mb of space that would be freed. Any reason these shouldn't just be purged by someone with root privs? dave

Do you know if any of those are actually in the main repos?

These are just things deleted from the AUR. Removing a package from the AUR interface does not remove the files off the server. Allan

aha. I wasn't aware of this extra process. 121 of these packages are in the official repos. d

Packages that are deleted from the web interface aren't automatically deleted from the filesystem. I run a clean up script periodically to get rid of them. I figure, it gives a little window for people to recover from deletion if needed.
