Hello,
according to the recent proposal (see http://www.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-general/2008-December/003207.html) there should not be packages added to community with less than 10 votes or less than 1% in pkgstats. The new package moreutils violates this.
So what is to do now?
Regards

Well I love those tools, so I'd say... Let's vote!

I didn't know these tools existed, at least this thread learnt me something useful. I've voted for them now, by the way. I hope enough users do so so they can stay in community.

and if you take a look at recently closed tasks rss page[1] you can see how much work sergej did.

I dont think he is human. Seriously. I meant to write an email asking htf does he do it. He can build all of Arch repos in less that a workday. :)

Well, that package does violate the rules for addition. So, I suppose we yell at Sergej....
SERGEJ - DON'T DO IT AGAIN! Please reply so we know you have been yelled at and you will be following rules in the future.
I guess repeat offenses should result in discussion periods. We never really discussed how to enforce the rules - I guess we though we were all good people...
I actually have a list of packages in [community] as of 2009-01-03 (I was monitoring additions for the first month) so I think I will do a diff later today.

Sergej again...??? I noticed he has broke community (No new package supplied for dictd 1.9.15-1). BTW, I already solved that...

I do not remember how many votes moreutils-svn has...

Hello, okay, moreutils-svn has 1.02% usage in pkgstats, so the votes do not matter.
A small mail to aur-general or a comment on the comment page would have been helpful.
