[aur-general] Orphan request for tkgate
This package ( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=458 ) is not buildable for a long time and the maintainer is inactive since August 2007. Furthermore, I've just made a cleaned-up and functional PKGBUILD. Can you orphan this package, please?
Hi, tkgate 1.8.7 is the latest stable version. It has only been flagged out of date since today (which is incorrect). Please send an e-mail to the current maintainer and wait up to two weeks for a reply, since nobody may have notified him about any build issues before (and since it's in the guidelines for AUR). -- Cordially, Alexander Rødseth Arch Linux Trusted User (xyproto on IRC, trontonic on AUR)
I'm the one who flagged it, that's why. Users reported build problems in comments about one year ago and I'm pretty sure the maintainer won't respond. Anyway, I sent a mail, we'll see... 2011/12/7 Alexander Rødseth <rodseth@gmail.com>:

may be slightly OT, but here's a source package which works with 64 bits, too. [1] cc to the maintainer. cheers! mar77i [1] https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/arch_sources/tkgate-1.8.7-2.src.tar.gz
If the maintainer has turned off e-mail notifications, for some reason (by accident?), a personal e-mail may be the only way to get his attention. Also, the package should only be flagged out of date if it's actually out of date compared to the current stable version, not if it doesn't work. If he doesn't reply, I will be more than happy to orphan the package. -- Sincerely, Alexander Rødseth Arch Linux Trusted User (xyproto on IRC, trontonic on AUR)
Maintainer orphaned the package, problem solved. :) 2011/12/9 Alexander Rødseth <rodseth@gmail.com>:
