[aur-general] Retake control of AUR package?
Hi guys, I dropped the bacula package for goll to take over - but it seems I've had much more free time to work on this and haven't been able to get him to update the package on AUR... I submitted the package in the first place. Is there a way to take it over again to keep it updated? -- Steven Haigh Email: netwiz@crc.id.au Web: http://www.crc.id.au Phone: (03) 9001 6090 - 0412 935 897 Fax: (03) 8338 0299
Hi Steven, Best way is to contact the new developer and flag it outdated. If after a week he doesn't respond, I'm sure a TU can help :) Regards, elken On 07/05/2014 19:30, Steven Haigh wrote:

Restraining myself from returning the flames, did you happen to read this email thread before replying? 1) I am the submitter. 2) Ok, I'm two days short of two weeks from marking it out of date. 3) I was working WITH goll, but haven't been able to get him to update the package with any further updates. I figure either: a) I can take it back and update it - and maintain it long term; or b) people can flame me and I'll just build it locally for the future - and ignore it on AUR. I'd much rather do option A. -- Steven Haigh Email: netwiz@crc.id.au Web: http://www.crc.id.au Phone: (03) 9001 6090 - 0412 935 897 Fax: (03) 8338 0299

No one's trying to flame here. My apologies if it seemed so.

I'd send a more formal email to this list (e.g. "Orphan request: bacula"). I'm sure a TU would swiftly hand over the package to you. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJTapUTAAoJEB1x37R9kdwnUdwQAKJ3RwMBfuSETE3IXkiybqQc ng2x6NRLgsY3jkA1m0oNMBQhqNibSTp3Bnbn2sicfJrbpsc6ohbFQtALxceJlYkj aU6pTfO/gPF7b7fE1POcq6zaE9NuHgqqfvwxWiFxJNUfgzpvpboEs2M+s6R3wi2B q2gMYp4kO/5FTTpoAb//FiQfHZa9ezine2CJkmuLVuuq/kt69jfRiI8ggsvhJDo5 WaenZcJO39MTgFJgm+kp20bMWemvRU7xoALc6rxg3Ryxzro7CadanoTnkUWDTejd LwWIRRBMyYqjxDNHIFIhBiPrCGKtZ5N4rgnNJsLuKyJ6/smUyX1FyibbwByyyPAu 8t14COx0eCZ9VsiT+j/lPRPp1CowViGmoFvfc6jw4yMRxvq90d+Nr0vbC2pmVtl0 RSM64vAJ5TuUqrpkiHNk8zs3XiTpeZbn8DjC+JXLVOZbg+t5Kk378QpbovkMfyf0 dGTVHliXVCA04dATpKfu4u8DJ2xtmrTMYnF3QuiE5/AXVzY1H1aFzWC7IKhQbbZX L4+pKkiSnvwjyd3JGbwzuB8dKuABOue0MWdnlIo3PbEg0rg3dz1BEqSt4BfduriI eNjxiceru6vsUpDRYpUYWddUv4KnUJjdnCcuvnrJ+jmM10kV+1cLbJ4PCoHyf44a vkTUFsv9DCvKMRMOxve6 =VHWR -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
