[aur-general] packages in community
hi all, are community repo packages going to be deleted from AUR? is the AUR comment interface still used for these packages or should one use only the bugtracker? thanks in advance, vlad --

I believe that they are going to be removed, but I could be wrong... The bug traker has always been a better place to post issues than package comments. Allan

Hello, as updates of community packages are not reflected on AUR anymore, deleting the packages makes sense. We could do that now. Thoughts? The official, recommended way to handle community packages is the bugtracker. If the maintainer still reads the AUR comments depends ob the maintainer. I do, as long as they are there, others maybe do not. Regards Stefan

I haven't hidden them yet because the devtools setup isn't quite complete. TUs still need to be set up with the web accounts to adopt their packages to receive out of date notification. I guess we need to ask Dusty what's going on there.

Naw, it's not Dusty, it's me. He's done all his side of this.... we've never really had to do accounts in bulk like this, so it's a tedious process. I'll start a thread about it.
