[aur-general] svn and git package
Is it ok if I upload a package-git if there already is a package-svn in the AUR? Practically the git repo is a mirror of the svn one. I'm talking about clementine-svn in particular. -- (\_ /) copy the bunny to your profile (0.o ) to help him achieve world domination. (> <) come join the dark side. /_|_\ (we have cookies.)

In this case, a -git package will not serve any meaningful purpose. Of course, if the project had migrated to Git, it'd be a different story.
There are similar cases like emacs-bzr and emacs-git. emacs is developed in bzr, the git repo is just a not-up-to-date mirror
So in my case there isn't any point in doing that. Thanks. -- (\_ /) copy the bunny to your profile (0.o ) to help him achieve world domination. (> <) come join the dark side. /_|_\ (we have cookies.)

If svn and git are both actively maintained then I see no issue with having both *-svn and *-git in the AUR. Some users will prefer one over the other just to avoid makedeps.
