I wanted to adopt nodejs-git package so sent an e-mail to its maintainer dongsheng yesterday but he hasn't replied yet. The package is outdated for a while now and some other package node-git etc are pushed to AUR. So to maintain the package, I'd like to adopt it if possible.

Please send him an email, if within a week or so he doesn't respond, please send another email explaining your situation and mentioning that you tried contacting him. I (or any other tu) would be happy to disown it for you then.

Oops, I didn't realize you sent him an email :) then just wait a week or 2 and send another email to aur-general with your same request
