sorry I probably should have mentioned I didn't tell him. My bad. I think the svn was being a mirror of the bzr repo still according to the wiki (haven't checked) if that's the case his pkbuild no longer worked because some elements it depended on aren't in the repo anymore. So I suspect he won't notice.
