Re: [aur-general] Packages in Community and votes.
I really don't see a vote thing as a requirement. Consider it a strong suggestion, one that the maintainer is able to break at his or her discretion. Bfinch I think you are overreacting a ton to this.

Yeah, it's certainly not a rule set in stone... One or two packages with zero votes are not much of a problem. Looking at the AUR, I see that most packages with zero votes are perl packages, which usually don't even take up much space. -- Abhishek Dasgupta

Perhaps you are right about the over-reacting. None the less we are in **agreement**. You said it much more succintly. Perhaps I need more sleep ?? !!
P.S..... Sadly this discussion, (for reasons best known ONLY to the people that did so,) has morphed into several separate discussions about the SAME things/stuff. Please gang; it makes this needlessly hard. And it also makes me (and a few others) look like a bad guy(s) for saying things across discussions. AND if you guys stop doing this, I will consider stopping the 'top-posting' !! (Grin) Bob F. On Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 11:16 AM, w9ya <w9ya@qrparci.net> wrote:
