[aur-general] Dropping python-colorlog and python2-colorlog
python-colorlog and python2-colorlog just got flagged out-of-date, is anyone looking forward to maintaining it in [community]? Otherwise I'll put it back on the AUR.

Don't quite understand, you just moved them into the repository like 2 month ago. Can you explain further why not just bumping it? Any issues?
It's rather silly, really. I initially moved it to [community] because it was an optional dependency for Qutebrowser... or so I thought. Until Florian (Qutebrowser's maintainer) let me know that Qutebrowser got rid of that dependency a while back. So now it's in [community] and out-of-date but I have not interest at all in the package, so if anybody wants it, please go ahead :)

I see, thanks for clarifying! PS: version only sources like those from github.com should be prefixed including pkgname so they are unique. PPS: conflicting the git variant package is the wrong way around, the specialized packages providing the regular one should conflict it. Cheers, Levente

For some context: I dropped it from qutebrowser because I already need to do some customization for logging, and it ended up being easier to just do the coloring myself instead of getting colorlog to work like I wanted to. IIRC I also forgot to remove it as optional dependency from qutebrowser-git in the AUR (which I maintain) back then, which is probably why Pierre assumed it was still used - my bad! :) Florian -- https://www.qutebrowser.org | me@the-compiler.org (Mail/XMPP) GPG: 916E B0C8 FD55 A072 | https://the-compiler.org/pubkey.asc I love long mails! | https://email.is-not-s.ms/
I've just dropped python2-colorlog and python-colorlog to the AUR. -- Pierre Neidhardt We are each only one drop in a great ocean -- but some of the drops sparkle!
