I don't want my package to be there.

That isn't sufficient reason for removal. If you're no longer interested in a package you have the option to disown it.

Wow, I don't have the right to request delete for MY OWN package.

The thing is that it's not *your package*. The maintainer of a package doesn't have ownership over it, they're just maintaining it. When you contribute to an open-source project you can't just decide to take your toys and go home. There probably is a valid reason to have it removed, but the TU needs to know that before they delete it.

Mhm, so by uploading it myself it's not my own package anymore? ... Seems legit. :D I just want to get it removed, I don't want my work to be shared with someone who doesn't respect it ... That's all.

So disown it, let it be someone elses, hand it off to someone, don't just delete it. -- William Giokas | KaiSforza GnuPG Key: 0xE99A7F0F Fingerprint: F078 CFF2 45E8 1E72 6D5A 8653 CDF5 E7A5 E99A 7F0F

I've disowned the package. Now it's no longer yours. There's really no need to create drama over this. The package is still useful. In spite of your selfishness, it won't be deleted.

But why, I enjoy being selfish. :P Well, that was unfair. I asked for package to be deleted, not to disown it from me - I could do that myself. If it stays, it stays - but I am not giving it up then.

It seems to basically be a duplicate of [2], maybe that's enough reason to remove it? /M [2]: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dkms-broadcom-wl/ -- Magnus Therning OpenPGP: 0xAB4DFBA4 email: magnus@therning.org jabber: magnus@therning.org twitter: magthe http://therning.org/magnus Most software today is very much like an Egyptian pyramid with millions of bricks piled on top of each other, with no structural integrity, but just done by brute force and thousands of slaves. -- Alan Kay
