Before deleting, can you please copy all the comments of kernel26-rc to kernel26-mainline. Thank you.
not possible. i suggest to delete instead kernel26-mainline. i don't understand the rename.
I copied the required comment manually (only 1 comment was required). You may delete the package. I am not the maintainer of the package but I use it very much.

i still don't get it why another package when kernel26-rc was doing the same job. the only reason that i could get is that you didn't wanted to wait for the kernel26-rc maintainer. I would delete kernel26-mainline tomorrow and let kernel26-rc do he's course. -- Ionuț
