Since, Release 1.21.0 / 2021-02-22, this "native" piece needed for the Firefox tridactyl addon has changed. (Ref 1) It is no longer written in Python but in Nim. There is another "-git" PKGBUILD that takes care of this, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/firefox-tridactyl-git As such this PKGBUILD is completely obsolete, requires Python, and only confuses users. (Ref 1) https://tridactyl.xyz/newsletters/06-winter-2021/#native- messenger-a-bit-quicker The native messenger is now written in Nim and is much faster (especially noticeable on :editor).
