MarsSeed [1] filed an orphan request for python-libarchive [2]: Owner seems MIA for at least 7+ months: this package only lacks setuptools makedepend, but setuptools direct execution is pending removal from Python, so this PKGBUILD need to migrate to PEP 517 based installation. Also its consumer, d4m-git is missing more dependencies. A user mentioned the problem in 2022-12, but nothing happened. So it seems best to disown this package, along with d4m-git (PRQ#45637), and let someone else take over the maintenance. The PKGBUILD is also problematic, because it executes pip2 install using the requirements.txt of the project. But it is not useful anyhow to keep a developmental VCS package for a software that won't ever receive updates from upstream.
