again. not for mplayer backend. exist out here one called avkode (pure libav implementation), but in not functional state. mplayer works as spected.

actual alternatives, vlc or gstreamer, not fit for all people

i hope the mpv backend can be ported to Qt4 easily

also not need multimedia exclusive program. any Qt4 program (in or out AUR) with own sound notification, preview , whatever or foo can use phonon as sound/video framework

zero non-vcs mplayer (mplayer, no vlc or gstreamer) backend for phonon qt4 in AUR, so, git or not, no exist other alternative. and still working as expected
