@Sebastian, there is nothing for you to do. An AUR Trusted User (TU) will have to act upon this request. The git repo of the old package will stay on the AUR git server, the package itself not be available to download via http(s) from AUR, and the AUR page will be deleted. The comments and votes from the old AUR package will be migrated to the target AUR package page. No 'git merge' will need to be done at all, this merge will happen in the AUR package database, not in git. On 22 June 2023 12:01:29 GMT+02:00, Sebastian Meyer-Bohr <ich@sebmeyer.de> wrote:
Thanks for letting me know.
I have to figure out how to do the merge, but am right busy currently...
@pedrohlc: Do you know how to do that and feel like doing that? :P
all the best, Sebastian

MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge sdl2_compat12-git [2] into sdl12-compat-git [3]:
Target package aligns with Arch repo's naming of this, and also upstream's name.
Also target target package seems to be maintained as well.
