I strongly urge to orphan / switch maintainer for this package, because the person is completely unresponsive and has 2 packages that are out-of-date:
Are you still interested in maintaining the smartgit [1] package? I'm currently listed as co-maintainer and accepting the orphan request would leave the package to me so I could add others co-maintainers. I use smartgit daily for my job and it's a very precious tool for me and I'll continue to update it regularly.
