If you would have bothered reading even just the description line of this package, you would have seen that it *does* work for firefox. If I have the time, I'd even like to expand it to others, e.g. Vivaldi, as well. If anything, this merge request should be the other way around! 'chromium' in the pkgname is an essential differentiator, as both packages are only for Chromium-based browsers, i.e. this widevine plugin is not compatible with e.g. Firefox.
