The module name is "git", thus the package name should be "python-git". Feel free to disagree with me, but I'm going to keep maintaining my package regardless. Don't merge it.
Ah, I missed the python package guidelines. I will file a delete request for my package and I'll notify other maintainers that are currently using python-gitpython to use python-git instead. Thank you! -- Andrea Scarpino (former) Arch Linux Developer
