MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for affinity [2]: Orphaned package. Project had one release, v0.1, then got abandoned. This happened in 2007. Supposedly this was a desktop search tool, based on GTK2. Depends on Gnome-VFS which was deprecated and discontinued in 2008. Also it seems it requires gnome-libs (last version 1.4.2 from 2002), not libgnome 2.x which exists in AUR. Arch Linux was started in 2002. There is no gnome-lib 1.x package even in the Arch Historical Archives. I tried to revive this package out of curiosity, but it's not worth for me to try further. gnome-libs v1.x would conflict with libgnome v2.x. The latter one is also a deprecated legacy library. There are a myriad of working and up-to date desktop search tool alternatives, including those built-in by default in graphical desktop environments like GNOME Shell etc. Last user comment was in 2018, reporting that it was already failing to build, likely because gcc didn't find a required dependency. Safe to delete. Nothing depends on it. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/MarsSeed/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/affinity/
