The package is intended to provide a compatibility pathway for projects to work with `core/python` 3.13. Whether it works with older python versions is inconsequential. Older versions of python in AUR should *not* provides python because they are *not* drop-in replacements for core/python. Treating them as such can break users' systems. This is causing problems for users downstream and noise for upstream because the redistribution is not properly accounting for compatibility.
When this was brought up with the maintainer of the AUR package, they did not see an issue with this, which leaves this package broken with an unwillingness to fix it.
