The package is maintained and should not be orphaned:

1. Changing the dependency to qemu-desktop is not correct as not everybody wants that. It’s been done by mistake before and caused a lot of annoyance for users of this package. Everybody can install it if they need it and satisfy the qemu requirement.

2. Patching the source code from the package is not correct. The package installs the newest version (4.9.6) WITH any bugs in the upstream version. I am aware that it’s fixed upstream but not yet released. They’ve been contacted about this but for whatever reason they are choosing not to release an update yet.

I’ve responded to both of these requests so many times now, but everything is updated and is awaiting an upstream release.
