Generally speaking it's which upstream came first. In this case yours haven't even been around for a month while the original project is alive and healthy 2 years running. If you where to replace the AUR package the upstream should be dead and more people should be associating the project name with the new one instead of the one that came before. But this is a case-by-case basis decision. tdlr: I created the tangram aur package for my app <https://github.com/sonnyp/tangram> , I orphaned the package in the hope that someone would take over, David took the name for his own application. Printed magazine still refer to yay -S tangram to install my app on Arch. I would like for tangram to point back to my app which is currently under tangram-web on aur.
