Orphan request should be dismissed because package is maintained and working. This is Arch User Repository. While upstream developers may maintain packages, they should be held to the same standards as everyone else. Asking maintainers to fix packages and opening orphan requests when they *refuse* is not "bullying". A user reported a problem to the new maintainers, and the package was updated promptly. This is normal procedure on AUR. The outcome of recent events was fully in the control of the previous maintainers. The miniupnpc issue was reported by multiple users starting 2024-06-30. The patch that fixes it was available on 2024-07-01. [1] If previous maintainers had applied it, subsequent comments and orphan requests would have had no need to exist. Instead, RocketKule indicated the package would be kept in broken state on 2024-07-02. I asked maintainers to change their minds on 2024-07-05. LizardByte indicated refusal, and I opened the orphan request on 2024-07-07. If they had changed their minds and fixed this package, the orphan request would have gone away, which I had reminded them. Instead, they both preferred to disown, 2024-07-08. The package was fixed by new maintainers the same day, and a user confirmed it was "back in working order." Whether to add back the previous maintainers was discussed, but LizardByte deleted his account the same day he disowned. Then he created a new account to open this orphan request, which contains some misinformation. He has also written disparaging and off-topic comments on the aur/sunshine page. I fail see any rationale for LizardByte's actions, including insisting to keep the package unbuildable, making threats, and pinning workarounds that could break users' systems. He is actively making things more difficult than they need to be. [1]: https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine/pull/2782
