A package from the repository supports v35 by setting an environment variable that can be filtered and ignored by some applications. This has already been written in the comments to the package:

MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for lib32-freetype2-v35 [2]: Unneeded, outdated (v2.13.0 from 2023-03) variant of multilib repo's lib32-freetype2 (v2.13.2 from 2023-09).
