david_rysk [1] filed a request to merge armitage [2] into armitage-git [3]: The release file for this package is no longer maintained by the upstream provider, no longer works with current versions of metasploit, and other distributions (e.g. Kali) have moved to using the codebase provided by armitage-git instead.
