MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for ros2-galactic [2]: Unneeded, defunct package. ROS 2 Galaxy distribution was based on Ubuntu 20.04, and is EOL since Dec 2022. On AUR it depends on broken packages, and it is also incompatible with many of Arch core's new library versions. Actually it doesn't make sense to maintain old foreign distro packages on Arch which are targeted for legacy Ubuntu LTS versions, because Arch is a leading-edge rolling distro, whose aim and offering is freshness, not very long backwards compatibility with ancient toolchains and system libraries. Arch users should migrate to the newest maintained ROS 2 distribution (Iron Irwini), or better yet, ROS 2 Rolling. (Packages for both are available on AUR.) Or they could just use the main upstream ROS distribution images. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/MarsSeed/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/ros2-galactic/
