I'm the maintainer and this orphan request is frivolous at best. As is, the package follows packaging guidelines and my long experience working with fonts. 

The request is a kneejerk reaction because I told the child no. "Xiota" doesn't seem to understand that you must not mix two font families with the same name and internal IDs but different underlying technologies, such as TrueType and PostScript CFF, because they will not render equally nor will be 100% equivalent. Having both installed will confuse and wreak havoc with WYSIWYG software such as LibreOffice and similar.
