MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for firefox-beta [2]: Duplicates Arch/community/firefox-developer-edition. Yes, Firefox Developer Edition is Firefox Beta, with minimal differences: * dark theme by default (can be changed) * a few extra toolbar buttons * a separate Firefox profile that doesn't overwrite that of the regular Firefox, so the two can be installed side-by-side. This package is not regularly maintained; last update was on 2021-11-04. This package should conflict with 'firefox', but it doesn't. It shows that the creator/maintainer of this package didn't do their due diligence or was not really aware of the implications of creating this package. There is a good reason why Firefox Developer Edition was the right choice to be added to Arch [community] repo instead of Beta, because the former is the "side-by-side" install of Beta and leaves the user's regular Firefox profile intact. (But the user can import their regular profile to the Developer Edition if they so choose.) All in all this package is not useful to be in AUR and it is not properly configured and not safe wrt default Firefox user profiles.
