MarsSeed [1] filed an orphan request for paru [2]: I'd like to take over maintenence of this package, because I use it, and I want to address the serious packaging errors that current maintainer @Morganamilo doesn't want to hear. It is clear that this package is not maintained in a very careful and competetent manner, which is ironic. I can do a much better job at it, and would like to be given the chance. AUR is for serving users, and meaningful AUR feedback need to be addressed by maintainers instead of being silent because they just expect people to go over to GitHub and comment there. PKGBUILD related feedback belongs properly to AUR, which maintainer *deliberately* ignores. AUR is supposed to be a meritocracy. Just because @Morganamilo is a Trusted User shouldn't mean that she is automatically exempt from having to fulfill basic AUR maintainer requirements and that she is immune to feedback and due criticism. Please remove her ownership of this package and let me take over. I am more willing and capable to implement current Arch package guidelines which now state that it is best practice to declare all direct library dependencies. Also, I always respond to relevant user comments on packages I maintain. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/MarsSeed/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/paru/
