Request #40957 has been Accepted by gromit [1]: https://github.com/EmixamPP/linux-enable-ir-emitter/releases/tag/4.5.0 has been out for quite some time and the maintainers dont seem to update the package. Upstream dropping support is not a problem for the Package being on the AUR, as long as the Maintainers can get it to work.
