The module is imported as "git", so I feel that the package name should be named "python-git". I re-uploaded python2-gitpython because it has been deleted or dunno what happened. After that I noticed that there's already this python- git package that provides python-gitpython, but IMHO the name is wrong (maybe in past gitpython was simply named git?). Also dependant packages refer to python-gitpython.
