in the future, for other people it would be nice to pinpoint to the relevant documentation. 

that specific orgami.ok project is a test project, but the whole origami suite of image/video processing tools i maintain is used in production and i would love to keep available for arch according to your standards.

What do you mean? The package was disowned automatically because you
never addressed the issues pointed out in the comments, and now there
is a pending deletion request.

If you want to delete this package, then there's nothing to be done;
a PM will do it for you.

If you want to keep it in the AUR, you need:

1) explain why this package is useful for others (not just you). To me
   it looks like a personal project.

2) Fix the PKGBUILD as pointed out in the comments. Also fix the package
   `inlein` since this is a dependency of origami (it's also for
    deletion due to unfixed issues).

Also, you need to reply to this email [1] because as I said, this
package will be deleted.
