Request #18280 has been accepted by diabonas [1]: To clarify, the package "firefox-china-extra" extracts some extensions and search plugins specific to the Chinese version of Firefox (as distributed by Mozilla China) from the binary Firefox release and installs them for the "vanilla" system Firefox. The package "firefox-china-extra-meta" is a meta package depending on the same extensions and search plugins packaged as separate AUR packages. I think packaging these separately instead of putting everything into a single big package is a good idea, so I accepted the merge request. Note that the separate packages still have the Firefox binary release from Mozilla China as a source, if these extensions are available elsewhere (e.g. can be built from source), it would be much better to use a less "obscure" source than this binary package. If not, you could at least make your live easier by using a split package (https://jlk.fjfi.cvut.cz/arch/manpages/man/PKGBUILD.5#PACKAGE_SPLITTING), i.e. a single PKGBUILD that downloads the source once and produces multiple packages from it, one for every extension (as well as one for the meta package, if you like).
