MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge picom-simpleanims-next-git [2] into picom-ftlabs-git [3]: 'picom-simpleanims-next-git' is broken, and is for an abandoned, no longer maintained fork [a] of the actively developed 'FT-Labs' picom fork. [b] The branch used by the former has last been updated on March 4, 2023, and is now 123 commits behind upstream. Therefore it no longer seems useful to keep the picom-simpleanims- next-git package.
