MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for visit-bin [2]: Broken, unused foreign binary from 2020. OOD flag ignored since that year. Last comment is also from same year. Upstream is continually developed, so abandoning it on AUR doesn't seem to be because of obsolescence, rather, just lack of interest here. Actually upstream publishes an easy-to-use, well-documented installation script to download and install the latest version (or any release version) in a user's directory. So people who want to use this application better stick to that way of acquiring it instead of trying to rely on AUR, which is no longer a viable source for them. The application does not need to be installed in system dirs to work. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/MarsSeed/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/visit-bin/
