xiota [1] filed an orphan request for sunshine [2]: This package should be orphaned because both maintainers are unwilling to fix it. Fixing packages that provide stable releases by patching or cherry-picking is common, acceptable practice. The fix, provided by a user several days ago, requires adding a single line to prepare() in the PKGBUILD. Doing so would take only a few minutes to copy/paste and commit. After one maintainer refused to fix the package, a request to reconsider was made. The other maintainer affirmed the decision. At least one maintainer is the upstream developer and has threatened, "I promise I will stop supporting ArchLinux altogether". I fail to see how insisting on keeping the package in a broken state is supporting Arch. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/xiota/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/sunshine/
