Sounds good to me, for what it's worth. —Sam On Mon, Dec 14, 2020, at 16:48, notify@aur.archlinux.org wrote:

I don't believe that installing TTF, OTF and variable fonts side by side using a single package is considered good practice. According to the [font package guidelines](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Font_package_guidelines#Package_naming), the package names must match the font format being installed. I propose to merge the current package base into public-sans-font, which is a split package that can provide separate packages for each font format, following the example of [commissioner- font](https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/commissioner-font/), showcased as an [example package](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Font_package_guidelines#Example_package...) in the guidelines.
