Request #49603 has been Rejected by MarsSeed [1]: Revoking request; please kindly disregard it. The TypesettingTools (ttools) fork has been fixed by back-importing the arch1t3cht fork's changes. Earlier, developer @arch1t3cht has made it clear in their repo's README that they would welcome merging their code back to TypesettingTools's Aegisub and working together.
