LizardByte [1] filed an orphan request for sunshine [2]: I am the upstream maintainer, and the previous maintainer of this package. I was bullied into disowning this package by xiota. xiota and company are abusive to packagers. They go around finding packages, bullying the owners, submit orphan requests, flag packages out of date when they are not... in the hopes the maintainer will disown the package as I did. They are incredibly rude and toxic to the point where I not only disowned this package, but deleted my AUR account altogether. It was when I was doing some additional research to ban xiota from the official LizardByte/Sunshine GitHub that I decided to re-create my account and file this request, as I found they have a history of doing this to packagers. A simple google search for "xiota linux user" will show many results in this AUR where they have conducted themselves in a similarly toxic manner. I don't see any official way to report users, so I am doing it through this orphan request. Here is just one example from earlier this year, but in this case the maintainer was smart enough to understand what was happening. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ttf-literata And another for your reading pleasure: https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur- general@lists.archlinux.org/thread/NKC7PDQBTHRUUPGUEFGBWTJTPG3TUIJH/#A4JR3GAGIUTFWRELSBBSOHYINFR5PIPR I also discovered that they are a maintainer of Chaotic-AUR, which is probably the main reason why they act the way they do. I would sure hope this type of abusive conduct is not allowed, and in my opinion xiota should be banned from AUR altogether. His rude conduct made my co-maintainer, who has been helping with ArchLinux issues in Sunshine for several years this AUR. xiota has no real motivation to help build Sunshine, and his ownership of this package will hurt users of Sunshine more than it will help. Prior to my taking over ownership of this AUR package more than half of the GitHub issues were from AUR users, and after the numbers dropped to almost nothing. xiota doesn't have any care in the world about the extra strain that will be added to the upstream project, only that it builds... but with no understanding of the internals of the software and how the build configuration can dramatically affect the streaming performance. With all that said, I am requesting that xiota and their partner (dr460nf1r3) be removed and banned from at least `sunshine`... if not from AUR altogether... and that I be re-assigned as the primary maintainer. Thank you for your time in this manner. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/LizardByte/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/sunshine/
