I think ideally we should just add you as a contact maintainer. I actually planned on getting to this this week since I recently saw the out of date flag. Typically you don't really touch git packages unless the install needs changed. The package manager software like pacaur will always install/update a git package by nature of how the PKGBUILD is. I remember having this argument with another maintainer before I realized th -git packages I had were always updated when I ran pacaur.

Maintainer used to be active on IRC, but I haven't seen them in a while.
I used to be the maintainer of lutris-git[1] before it got deleted on
request of the upstream developer[2]. I wouldn't mind picking up
maintenance again if it gets disowned.

Did you look inside the PKGBUILD? Seems like there's an e-mail listed on
the first line:
