Drupal 9.0 was released in june 2020. So drupal 8.x is long dead now.

It has been just updated 2 days ago (https://git.drupalcode.org/project/drupal/-/tree/8.9.x). It will be supported until November 2021 (https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal). Therefore I guess this request should be rejected.
