Eschwartz [1] filed a deletion request for fetchmirrors [2]: Almost half a year after my request in the comments, this still pulls from git master. It also provides a verbatim copy of the rankmirrors script from [community]/pacman-contrib, except with autotools macros still embedded which get printed in the usage text. :/ In general I don't see any reason for this to exist, especially as [community]/reflector exists.
