[PRQ#40895] Deletion Request for mathematica
RubenKelevra [1] filed a deletion request for mathematica [2]: This package violates this part of the AUR submission guidelines: "Packages that use prebuilt deliverables, when the sources are available, must use the -bin suffix." This package downloads a prebuilt binary and does not use the -bin suffix. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/RubenKelevra/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/mathematica/

mathematica is a very proprietary program and don't even have a public download, users need to register to get the upstream file. Even if it was a disguised -bin pkgbuild it is better to create the -bin variant and fill a merge request to preserve votes, comments and subscription. In that case you're welcome to contact the maintaner before making deletion requests
Request #40895 has been Rejected by Antiz [1]: Nonfree and **closed source** software does not necessarily have to use the `-bin` prefix as there can never be any source based packages for them (since the sources are closed).
