[aur-requests] [PRQ#10745] Deletion Request for otf-ibm-plex
haawda [1] filed a deletion request for otf-ibm-plex [2]: Why has the orphan request been accepted? The package has been updated. Why has the delete request been rejected? I still would prefer a split PKGBUILD for ttf and otf variants. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/haawda/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/otf-ibm-plex/
Request #10745 has been rejected by Eschwartz [1]:
Why has the orphan request been accepted? The package has been updated.
What orphan request.

That's an odd question, did the rejection message not already contain that information? https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur- requests/2018-February/022585.html If you create the split pkgbase first then this package can be merged, thereby retaining votes and comments. Merge requests are "more proper" for cases where the package is not really getting deleted but rather moved. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Eschwartz/

[1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Eschwartz/ I cannot upload the split package I have, because I cannot overwrite otf-ibm-plex.

Oh, did not notice that.

You can upload the split pkgbase with only the ttf pkgname, then have the votes merged and update the split package once the otf pkgbase is no longer there. -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User
