I need this package to be deleted to commit an updated version of PKGBUILD that includes OTF package; otherwise, AUR does not allow me to proceed.

Hi, @mhdi, Thank you for adding more details about the rationale behind this request. This is now understandable and well-argued for. However, please allow me to add a polite proposal for your kind consideration. Instead of a deletion, I think an AUR merge request would be preferable (from 'otf-commit-mono' to the new pkgbase named 'commit-mono-font'). A merge request would have the same intended effect, allowig you to add 'otf-commit-mono' as a split package (subpackage) under the main 'commit-mono-font'. But the added benefit of a merge would be that it would transfer the votes, and more importantly, the package notification subscriptions from the old, separate 'otf-commit-mono' to the new unified package. I for one, (if I remember correctly), have subscribed to 'otf-commit-mono', to receive notifications about updates and comments. With a merge request instead of deletion, I will continue to receive those notifications for the new package. Thank you for your evaluation of my proposal, and also for maintaining this package.
