[PRQ#71134] Orphan Request for verso
aarto [1] filed an orphan request for verso [2]: I'm willing to take over this package to rename it to "verso-editor" since the verso web browser (https://github.com/versotile-org/verso) will likely become a more popular package compared to this. In case you're still actively maintaining it, consider renaming it yourself, in case you want to get in touch with me I'm available at alessio@artoni.org [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/aarto/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/verso/
Hi, I am not sure how to handle this request properly, so any suggestions from the community would be welcome. I've done some research but couldn't find any guidelines which handle a simmilar issue. I must admit that I don't think it's a good idea to change an existing package name solely on the count of popularity, but please feel free to proof me wrong. Request #71134 has been Rejected by bertptrs [1]: That's not how this works, you can't just claim a name that is already in use. Popularity doesn't matter. This package is up-to-date and in order, so no reason for orphaning. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/bertptrs/
