razer [1] filed a deletion request for python-django-celery [2]:

Since celery 4.0 release, this package is no longer supported/maintained. Most of the basics beat scheduler stuff is now included in celery. Storing/retrieving schedulers in django database is now implemented by the new django-celery-beat package I've just created. It becomes new mandatory. This package should be deleted, to avoid confusions, and because it doesn't support new celery 4.0
